Frequently Asked Questions:
A- CarSaturn was founded in 1992 to service, repair and restore salvage vehicles to road-worthiness. Over the past decade we have established a professional network with local Saturn dealers to provide exceptional service and knowledge in these fine vehicles. Countless certifications, achievements, merits from Saturn and SATISFIED customers have solidified us as the premier service and parts dealer.
A- Here at CarSaturn we believe good is the enemy of great. After changing numerous intake manifolds on SL’s we realized there had to be a better way to serve our customers with a problem created by Saturn. Mechanical engineering degrees, lab testing, hours of field testing (not to forget hundreds of can of redbull) we created a patent-pending solution to a common problem. Good was replacing the intake manifold, great is fixing the problem!
A- This CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) part has been tested for over ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND MILES! before it was even available for sale to the public.
We have hundreds of reviews raving about the precision and fit, along with $ savings.
A- Absolutely not. As shown in the second video, the “Z” pattern is not broken up- therefore the integrity is not changed. Also, a second bolt hole is uncovered in the process to securely fasten the part. Rumor in the shop is that Saturn knew of this problem and left the future hole covered for a later fix but never got around to it.
A- Yes and no. If you buy if from the used parts dealers you will buy something that WILL crack in the SAME spot if it has not done so already. Remember- a hairline crack may not be visible to the naked eye, but can fail once the engine heats up. GM/Saturn dealers no longer manufacture this intake manifold so the few remaining on the selves will be gone soon- along with the $400+ price tag.
A- Anyone can install this after watching the two videos within a few hours saving lots of $$$!

Yes, with lots a patience, half of a hack saw blade and a few blisters, you can make this repair WITHOUT removing the intake. Study the video for the correct angle to cut. Remove the hood, move the fuel line out of the way and remove the engine lift bracket to make access easier. It may take you longer this way, but you have less to but back together. I am very happy with the repair and knowing that this is a permanent fix which I will not have to worry about. Thank you sooooo much.

as a factory trained Saturn tech, my shop sees a lot of saturns on a daily basis. the intake repair kit offered by car Saturn is a better than original fix. offering my customers the option to replace the entire intake manifold just does not make sense. this repair kit is cost effective and permanent.

Great product and instructional video. If you have any mechanical aptitude, you won't have any problems. All in all a great fix for a poor factory design.

while this was an awesome replacement. very easy for me to do. I do not believe customers should have to pay for it. Saturn should have recalled this. this was a failure on the manufacturer.

I must commend you on this excellent product and your fast shipping. I received the item 2 days after ordering it. After watching the video several times I modified the manifold and fitted the part. The car is now back on the road running as good as ever. I now have assurance that I wont be stranded again by a 1/4" plastic coolant nipple breaking off and creating a non drivable vehicle. You guys saved us $1000+ for what it would have cost to have the car fixed by the dealer because I was able to do the modification myself using my existing intake manifold. I am very appreciative of you and your service to the Saturn community. Thanks again.

I recently installed this and so far it works great. The hairline cracks on my manifold was in the exact same place as the guys said! I looked around for other manifolds from the junk yard but they had the same problem so buying a brand new one did not make sense. So, for the money this is an excellent alternative because if you put out the money for a new one you can bet you'll be back buying one of these in the near future.

My coolant stem repair was very successful and I intend to offer this repair to others if need be. I feel using a multi-tool it is possible to remove the old tube with very little diss assembly.
